ART

My background is in Design, having been a Creative Director for various design studios in NYC and for Pearson Education’s Design Group. I studied design at San Jose State University following my BA in English at Wesleyan University.

My work has been shown at the Blue Door Gallery in Yonkers, NY, Upstream Gallery in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, and EastEnd Arts in Riverhead, NY.

MUSIC

Music has been an inspiration for my exploration in visual art, especially the jazz medium.

I am a musician (cellist, former bassist) in the Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra and the Kort String Quartet, based in Westchester, NY., having played and performed improvisational music, jazz, and classical repertoire. I am a teacher of the Suzuki method, certified by School for Strings, NYC.

WRITING

I am a poet, having published in various literary magazines, such as Luna, Westchester Review, Salt, and the Crime 52. I have a chapbook forthcoming from Finishing Line Press entitled “The Size of Dark Cherries”. Main inspirations for my writing are art, music, and family.
